An old familiar place in the Village has some friendly new faces. In November 2004, Steve and Annette Drollinger bought Grande Flowers, which has been a successful Shorewood business for decades. The timing was perfect because their daughter, Julie, had just graduated from UW-Milwaukee and was ready to start a business career. What's more, Julie's dream job was to manage her own floral shop!

Grande Flowers and Julie were a perfect match and since then the shop has broadened its horizons and is brimming with innovation and imagination. You can credit that to the creativity and energy of Julie and her staff. Grande Flowers provides a wide variety of products and services including fresh and silk flower arrangements, green plants, balloon bouquets, fruit and gourmet baskets, and many other gift items.

Julie and the designers at Grande Flowers will work with you to plan just the right floral accent or gift item for any occasion. They're up on the latest floral fashions and experienced at handling large and small events including weddings, funerals, luncheons, parties, anniversaries, birthdays and business meetings. From a simple bud vase to an elaborate floral arrangement, Julie has unique ideas on how to integrate flowers into your life. For as little as $15 per month, you can remember someone with a lovely, living gift that says "I'm thinking of you."

"Flowers have a special way of brightening someone's day," says Julie. "For me, managing Grande Flowers is a very rewarding experience. It's a wonderful feeling to provide something comforting and consoling to people during difficult times. And it's really great to be part of the happy occasions."

Sophisticated windows also are a Grande Flowers' tradition, and a real eye-catcher at the corner of Morris and Capitol Drive. Julie has enthusiastically continued that custom, and as the seasons change or holidays approach, there's always an attractive display inviting passersby to come on in to select something unique for their office, home or special event.

With a reputation for superior customer service, quality products and prompt delivery, it's no wonder that Grande Flowers has retained a very loyal customer base, many of whom stop in weekly just to see what's new or say hello. One couple comes in regulary every week to buy one rose.

Julie and Grande Flowers are proud to be a part of the Shorewood business community and we wish them "grande" success as they celebrate their first anniversary as new business owners. Stop in soon and find out how Julie and her friendly staff can can put a little "bloom" in your life.
