St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations!

St. Patrick’s Day is upon us and while we still aren’t able to have our usual Shorewood Shenanigans gathering, there are some smaller celebrations happening throughout the Shorewood bars and restaurants so you are still able to celebrate!

St. Patrick’s Day isn’t just for the bars though! One could argue that if you added in some tea and coffee the party could last even longer with that added caffeine… Pictured above, Colectivo Coffee Roasters is serving up a Minty Matcha Latte and a Minty Matcha Shake. City Market Cafe and Bakehouse has an awesome non-alcoholic Irish Coffee and Stone Creek Coffee has a special “Liquid Luck” coffee with the sweetness of stone fruit and cocoa paired with the fruitiness of berries and a citric acidity.

Three Lions Pub celebrated 10 years in Shorewood last month and you know they are big fans of St. Patrick’s Day, helping to start the original Shorewood Shenanigans celebration that we know will return next year! From now up through March 17th however, Three Lions is rolling out “Safe Patrick’s Day” will daily drink deals and specials plus a “St. Practice Day” pre-celebration party on March 13th with an outdoor bar, live music, and Irish dancing from morning til night. Then again on Wednesday, March 17th they will celebrate yet again with Guinness, live music, Guinness and dancing. Did we mention there will be Guinness?! See you there!

Another favorite spot for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations is Benji’s Deli & Restaurant. They will be open from 10am to 8pm for distanced dine in, carryout, and delivery through door dash and grubhub. Their ruebens, corned beef sandwiches, corned beef and cabbage dinners, and rueben roll appetizers usually fly out the door!  They will also be serving rueben soup that day. Additionally you can stop by for hand-sliced corned beef by the pound and rye breads.

Definitely make a stop to the Brat House – they’re opening the doors at 8am for a full day of celebrations featuring $3 Green Miller Lite, $3 Jameson Shots, $5 Guinness, and $6 Jameson Mixers. Get your fill with a special Corned Beef sandwich, or Guinness Beef Stew from the kitchen crew.

Head on over to Camp Bar – it’s time to GET LUCKY! Kick off St. Patrick’s Day of Shenanigans at Lucky Camp. We open at noon and will be serving up festive cheer + green beer all day long! Stick around for live music by Brett Gaertner at 8:30pm. Sláinte!

Corner Bakery has you covered over the Lenten season with these awesome Power Greens and Grains bowls. For the month of March you get $2 Off Kitchen-Crafted Flavors from The Corner!  Use offer code 431 when you check out – Visit the cafe or order online for pick up or delivery at www.cornerbakery.com

Covid 19 Vaccination Information from our friends at North Shore Pharmacy!

As we lap the 1 year anniversary of many of the COVID-19 restrictions being put into place across our businesses and personal lives, many BID members are anxiously awaiting their chance to be eligible for a COVID-19 vaccine. There has been lots of information out there, but it can be hard to stay up-to-date, and there is plenty of misinformation floating around that can complicate your understanding of when you or your employees might be eligible. See below for some helpful places to stay current in a rapidly changing environment.

https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/vaccine-about.htm

This site does a great job of breaking down each eligible group with examples of professions that qualify for the vaccine. For those that don’t have internet access, the state has also created a toll-free hotline that you can call for questions and get help registering if you qualify.
Call 844-684-1064 (toll-free).

https://www.nshealthdept.org/CommunicableDiseases/COVID19/VaccineInformation.aspx

Our local health department has a sign-up form where you can get weekly updates on the vaccine, eligibility, and local places you can sign up for doses once you are eligible. This is a more relevant resource to our BID, and useful for business owners so they can keep their employees informed.

A frequently asked question is “can I get on a last-minute list in case there are doses left over?”. That will be a site-specific answer, based on how they handle their scheduling. At North Shore Pharmacy, we do not maintain a list like that, we work through current prescription customers from oldest to youngest in the rare case we have doses left over.

Our team is also happy to serve as a local resource to keep this information simple for you, so always feel free to reach out via phone or email!
