New Brand for the BID

If our e-newsletter, website and social media look a little different to you, it’s because the Shorewood Business Improvement District (BID) has undergone a brand transformation! Our Board has spent the past six months reviewing, revamping and revising our logo and brand.  It was important for us to find something that conveyed the intersection of commerce and community, movement and growth forward along with adding a nod to Shorewood’s art deco architecture.  The BID continues to focus on creating a thriving hub of merchants and business.  As always, the BID will provide the community with events such as the Shorewood Criterium (Friday, June 23rd), Shorewood Feast & Street Festival (Saturday, September 9th) and Winterfest (Saturday, December 2nd) in 2023, but our goal is do to so much more!  Keep in touch with us at www.shorewoodwi.com or email us at director@shorewoodwi.com.

Don’t miss this fun, family friendly event on Saturday, December 3rd from 3:30 – 7pm by taking a stroll around Shorewood to celebrate the Holiday season!  Our annual Winterfest event, includes meet and greet with Santa at a variety of stops throughout the Village, a tree and Menorah lighting, cookie decorating and food & drink specials at local establishments!  Milwaukee County Executive, David Crowley will be joining Shorewood at the tree & menorah lighting to help celebrate the holiday season!

Homelessness in Milwaukee County Presentation

If you didn’t get a chance to join the Village of Shorewood, Shorewood Police Department and Shorewood BID for the presentation/Q&A session on Homelessness in Milwaukee County:  An overview of Response Strategies, Best Practices, and Current Resources, it was recorded and available for viewing here through the link and QR code below.  

Presenters included Beth Lappen, Downtown Outreach Coordinator for Milwaukee County Housing Services, Eric Collins-Dyke, Assistant Administrator of Milwaukee County Supportive Housing and Homeless Services along with Chief Heather Wurth and Captain Fernando Santiago of the Shorewood Police Department. It focused on how to address concerns for the welfare of individuals in need and provided contact information for local resources.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the BID, Village or Police department.
